Michelle joined Stockland as General Manager of Retail Commercial Property in January 2019. Michelle is responsible for all aspects of the extensive Stockland Retail Portfolio of 18 Shopping Centres valued at c$5.3 billion.
Michelle was promoted to the role of Executive General Manager in October 2021.
Michelle brings over 28 years of industry experience to the role, in disciplines spanning from strategy, asset management, funds management, capital management, marketing, development, retail, hospitality and new business development as well as delivering large development and refurbishment programmes.
Prior to joining Stockland, Michelle was responsible for leading a team in the operation of a portfolio of investment mandates including AMP Capital Retail Trust (ACRT) and Private Clients within the AMP Capital Real Estate Separately Managed Accounts team. Michelle has also held several senior executive operational roles at AMP Capital, Lendlease, City Tattersalls Club and Westfield Shopping Centre Group.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Merit) and post graduate Diploma in Management from the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Michelle has been a member of the Property Council’s New South Wales Divisional Council for the past four years and is a Member of the Shopping Centre Council of Australia Board. From 2017 to 2019 Michelle was a member of the Diversity Committee for the NSW division of the Property Council Academy of Australia.
Michelle has also participated in the 100 Women in Property initiative through the Property Council and has been a mentor for Women in Property at the Property Council Academy.
Committed to contributing to and collaborating with various Community groups, Michelle works on several different programs presenting and providing guidance.
