Ralph Kemmler

Managing Director,
Woolworths Property

Ralph Kemmler joined Woolworths Group in 1992, after holding a variety of senior construction and building positions within the property industry.

Throughout his more than 30 years with Woolworths, Ralph has been an integral part of the Group’s significant  growth story. Today, as Managing Director of Property and member of the Group Executive Leadership Team, Ralph has responsibility for the growth and development of all Woolworths’ businesses through real estate.

With responsibility for both leasehold and freehold property portfolios, Ralph oversees one of the largest retail development pipelines in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the Group’s partnerships with shopping centre owners, to unlock convenient locations for Woolworths customers.

This spans the planning and delivery of new and redeveloped retail stores,  convenient online shopping facilities, state of the art distribution centres,  refreshed office environments and increasingly complex, mixed use developments.

A major achievement in Ralph’s tenure at Woolworths was the successful launch of the $1.4bn Shopping Centres Australasia Property Trust (now Region Group) in 2012, the largest listing and capital raising on the ASX that year.

Ralph is a Board Member of PanKind –  the Australia Pancreatic Cancer Foundation – and is also co-Chair of Woolies Wheels and Walks, a partnership with Tour de Cure which actively raises  funds and awareness for cancer research.

Ralph holds qualifications in civil engineering (BE Civil Hons, University Medalist), awarded from the University of Technology, Sydney.
